BRIAN JOHNSON

About Corporis

Corporis explores the body as a landscape using a combination of visual and auditory languages. The project is composed of stills shot through a microscope, using my skin, hair and other organic matter as the subject. The audio was created using a contact microphone and I similarly treated myself as the canvas, with the sounds emerging from dragging the microphone across my body. The combination of otherworldly images and textural sounds creates a unique and tangible new dimension completely separate from its original form.
